Today’s guest is extra special! I’ve had an internet woman crush on Liyana Silver for the past few years and always felt such a connection to her and her work. When I saw (and jumped up and down) that she was coming out with a new book titled “feminine Genius” I knew I had to speak with her.

Liyana Silver is a torch-holder for a world-to-be in which feminine leadership flourishes and the epidemic of women self-haters has long become absurd.

She teaches, coaches, speaks and writes, supporting success-minded women to wake up their body wisdom, turn on their feminine strength and live brilliant lives aligned with their true desires.

Her (eyebrow-raising) work has been featured in the likes of Forbes, the Huffington Post and Jezebel.

On the show we talk:
  • Living in a world that's not organized to meet our feminine genius and what we can do about that
  • How trying to be "perfect" prevents women from actually finding our unique voice
  • How "falling off" the path is actually good news
  • What is a woman's "Feminine Genius"
  • What it means to have Masculine Genius vs. Feminine Genius
  • How the Feminine is cyclical in nature - and how we can embrace our darkness  as well as our light (and the gifts of both)
  • How we can learn to "feel" our emotions fully
  • The secret messages in our emotions (the challenging ones + The more pleasant ones)
  • Writing "Feminine Genius" and the process of how Liyana used her body to write the book
  • How we can begin to turn on our "light" as women

Did you like our conversation? With my whole heart I recommend this book! It is such a gift! Get it HERE.

Noah is someone I've been admiring for YEARS through his Podcast Synchronicity. (which is truly one of my favorite Spirituality podcasts EVER).

Noah's got a HUGE heart AND is also a bit of a genius. His way of bridging ancient spirituality and making it accessible and applicable to modern life is super needed in our world. -- So listen closely to this episode!

When you don't know someone personally (You're a huge fan (ahem) and then you actually connect with them) it's a beautiful thing when they're even MORE awesome in person.

I ended up taking an incredible course called Creative Evolution with him (VERY highly recommended) AND then joined the network of podcasts he co-founded (Mindpod network - which is a dream come true!).

Walk talk:
  • Noah's early experiences with Psychedelics and what it taught him about Reality and the new dimensions that opened up
  • Life being a creative process
  • How feminine energy is making a huge come back and the Importance of LOVE and compassion for the well-being of our species
  • Why we need community and how we're all going through the same basic human experience
  • Enlightenment being a balance of Masculine and Feminine energies
  • How to notice when the Universe is winking at you (synchronicities)
  • Buddhism and the Shambhala Path
  • Noah's amazing Creative Evolution course and all I learned from it (and why it could be exactly what YOU need to get your creative juices flowing)
  • Creativity and the creative process as spiritual practice

What's your relationship with Creativity? I'd love to hear. Is there a project you've been trying to get done but haven't? His course May truly be what you need, my friends.

I met Arno after the most recent election. When the world and the country were totally shocked. As a response the amazing Kim Stetz introduced me and a few of our teachers at our yoga studio to Arno's work- and had him speak to us about his past.

Arno is an ex-white supremacist. For years he walked around with hate (and fear) in his heart. He was the founding member of one of the largest racist skinhead organizations on the earth.

Now, he leads an organization called Serve2Unite (their mission is to spread peace through the school system via compassion and creativity) wrote an amazing book called "My Life After Hate" and is an embodiment of love.

Arno changed his whole life around. And his mission in life took a complete shift. (listen to episode and hear for yourself).

How can someone who had brought about such hate turn his reality fully around?

What can we learn from him?

And ultimately, how can his unique view give us a lens into how we ourselves can plant seeds of kindness and love (amidst the very real) hatred that still exists in the world?

Walk talk:
  • Arno’s childhood and the emotional violence in his household that planted the seed for bullying and hate
  • How bullying created a sense of power in himself
  • The seductive power of hate
  • Antisocial Behavior and getting in fights growing up was a way to cope with his pain
  • Adrenaline and the part it played in the white supremacist hate groups he was a part of
  • The psychology of the racist skinhead movement (and why they feel totally justified)
  • The narrative that White Supremacists perpetuate and the “warrior for the people” lens
  • Fear and Ignorance being the main themes of White Supremacist hate groups
  • The rave scene being a refuge for Arno
  • Meditation and how it changed everything and gave the option of self forgiveness and moving forward
  • Why self-forgiveness (but not forgetting) your past is so important if we're going to be truly helpful to others

Yoga Nidra is my secret to living a life of calm. Not all the time, let's be real, but it's truly changed my everything. I use my body a lot. And it gets tired because of that. But we all get tired, and need deep states of relaxation. Luckily, this practice provides that. I feel it's got magical powers. But I'll let you decide if you feel that for yourself after you try it!

You can use it for:
  • Supports deep sleep and is an antidote to insomnia
  • Helps promote serenity in the middle of the day if you feel stressed
  • Brings you back to a baseline of feeling grounded
  • Promotes creativity and visualization in the mind
  • Anti stress practice

Shastri Nick Kranz is a new kindred spirit of mine and friend. Speaking with him on the podcast was a total joy and honor!

Nick is super awesome. After 20 years of deep training in the practice of meditation, Nick has a profound belief in everyone’s potential to explore and benefit from the practice, and is devoted to guiding people along the path with friendliness and skill. Nick speaks in front of hundreds at universities, hospitals, businesses, and online. His humor and relaxation inspire people to come into the present moment and enjoy. (You'll see how this manifests on the podcast!)

Nick was appointed Shastri by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche in 2013. He has developed an approach to cultural transformation in the practice of Social Meditation, and worked with Youth Leadership development in the Shambhala community for the last decade. He is interested in collaborative right livelihood, and relationships as path.

On this episode:
  • Nick's spiritual path (and the visions of the future he had)
  • Why we don't need more "religious people" and "buddhists" we simply need more open hearted people who wanna take care of the world
  • What social Meditation is- and why it's the answer to healthy mindful relationships and world peace (almost) :)
  • Why dropping concepts is the only way to actually allow spirituality in - and embodying the teachings
  • Creating a culture of Trust (and how to do that)
  • Felt sensations being a doorway into intimacy and congruency in relationships
  • Why being you- is such a gift to the world and how to do that

What's one take away from today, friend? Would love to hear!

Chemda is one of my new favorite humans. Hands down. This woman blows me away. Her heart is massive, her mind is brilliant, she's super funny, and her voice is angelic and mystical!

She hosts the What’s My Name show, a themed talk show.  She also co-hosts as ‘The Girl’ of Keith and The Girl (KATG), a daily, award-winning comedy talk show with comedian Keith Malley. Chemda’s first published book is What Do We Do Now.

Chemda was a writer and singer for Conjure One which recently re-released an album on Vinyl. It's incredible. Check it out!

On this episode:
  • Chemda's new religion of questioning everything and staying open
  • Her recent experience of having cancer, what that taught her, and how much LOVE poured into her life as a result
  • Why she STILL feels unworthy in certain ways in her self expression (very human), and puts herself out there anyway (and how we can all do that!)
  • How marriage is an amazing mirror to show us who we are
  • Her relationship with her husband
  • Why being the Savior in relationships gets old
  • Why community is so important

Natalie is true healer (and she's also super kind and knowledgable!) Speaking to her opened my heart (and tear ducts) to understanding how deeply my family history effects me, and realizing how much trauma exists in my past. (Hello, my grandma lost her WHOLE family in the holocaust!).

She's as grounded and intellectual as much as she is whimsical and intuitive (my kind of gal!) She's a Health and Wellness Coach, Facilitator of healing, Teacher, Family Constellation Therapist, and Reiki Master.

Natalie urges us to look at and shine a light onto these past wounds. She says if we don't, there are perhaps unconscious ways we may be holding on to unresolved Trauma and holding ourselves back from living the life we REALLY want to live!

On this episode:

  • How Natalie healed her Bulimia through Family Constellation Therapy
  • How healing unresolved Trauma in our family constellation can help us break free
  • Daily practices we can do to live a kick ass life
  • Where family Constellation Therapy comes from and why it's so powerful
  • How healing your Mommy issues MAY be the key to living a more fulfilling life
  • Why our connection to our parents is so important and what to do about it if you DON'T connect with your parents

What is YOUR family constellation?  What part of your past do you need to shine a light on? If you'd be so brave, I'd love to hear about whatever you'd like to share, below.

Much love friends!
